Act 129
Act 129 of 2008 was signed into Pennsylvania state law in October 2008. Act 129 requires PA’s seven major EDCs (Electric Distribution Companies) to enact Energy Efficiency & Conservation strategies. The utilities filed their EEC plans on July 1st, 2009 and will put launch their energy incentive programs over the course of the year following their approval by the Pennsylvania Utility Commission.
EEC plans include programs for residential, municipal, commercial and industrial clients and provide funds to replace outdated equipment and lighting with modern, energy-efficient systems; to conduct energy audits; and to enact process and operational changes that result in energy savings.
Matson Environmental can help your municipality, municipal authority, institution or other business to harness energy savings by making use of the programs being offered by your local utility.
