Solutions : Energy Audit
Basic Steps
- Benchmark Client Energy Use with Utility Bill Data
- Interview Client Management and Operations Staff
- Conduct Site Inspection and Perform Testing
- Data Integration and Analysis
- Report Writing and Presentation to Client
This typical project work plan occurs over a period of 6 weeks to 6 months, depending on project scope and complexity. The first step is to identify, verify, and analyze your utility data, facility blueprints, and equipment and operating specifications. The next step involves conducting preliminary phone interviews with key staff, and then conducting a detailed site inspection of the facility. During the phone interviews and site inspection, we will provide you with the analysis of your utility bills. We maintain close contact with you during the final data analysis and report writing phase of the project. Finally, we will meet with you to present our findings and to discuss how specific recommendations can be quickly and cost-effectively implemented.
Basic Visual Energy Audit
This is our most economical energy audit service that identifies preliminary energy savings and helps to determine if a more detailed energy audit is warranted. We perform a visual inspection of your building or facility in order to determine maintenance and energy efficiency opportunities. The audit also generates data used to determine the need for more detailed energy analysis.
Specific Sub-System Energy Audit
This is an investment grade energy audit that includes a visual inspection and testing of specific sub-systems such as lighting, HVAC, pump systems, etc. Additional testing - including thermal imaging, blower door depressurization, and process data review - may be performed to measure and quantify energy usage and losses. The resulting data is used to generate a detailed economic analysis of potential energy upgrades to specific parts of your facility.
Comprehensive System Energy Audit
This is our most comprehensive audit service and involves an evaluation of how much energy is used by each major functional area in the building system (HVAC, lighting, process, etc). In addition to the techniques used in the Phase 2 analysis, this level of analysis uses computer modeling to determine energy use patterns and annual projections. Energy modeling takes into account external factors such as local weather patterns and building use data. The Comprehensive System Energy Audit provides you with a customized Energy Project Implementation Plan including specific costs and expected savings.
Cost Estimate / Fee Structure
